Melissa Dawahare, NMD, RN, is a naturopathic medical doctor, a registered nurse, and shamanic teacher and practitioner with over 14 years of clinical experience in mainstream and alternative healthcare. Dr. Dawahare is a graduate of the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and the University of Iowa. She studied shamanism with Michael Harner, Sandra Ingerman, and Alicia Luengas Gates. Dr. Dawahare is a Foundation for Shamanic Studies Faculty member. She is a public speaker and teacher educating people about naturopathic medicine and shamanism. Dr. Dawahare is the author of House Call: How Ordinary People Have Extraordinary Health and the newly released Acupuncture Clinical Board Study Manual.
